12th Annual DSM Buschur Shootout Pictures and Videos

This was my first DSM Shootout and will not soon be my last. I headed out of Connecticut with the Victor Research crew (check them out at http://www.victorresearch.com) on Thursday night at 11:00pm. We arrived in Ohio on Friday @ 11:20am. We headed down to Buschur to see if we could figure out some issues with the car. Big thanks to Dave Buschur for letting us get in when we did. After some bad luck there on Friday we discovered a torn fuel gromet so I picked up a new kit at BR.

Saturday the local Connecticut Club DSMers had a good time at the car show hosted by Buschur. Saw some interesting cars there like the ford pick up with the 4g63 swap as well as the tubed car. Late night a couple of us headed to the EconoLodge where we witnessed quite a show. Fireworks, cops, fire trucks, crazy kid on pocket bike, etc etc. The vibe from the hotel was awesome. I know I will definitely be staying there next year.

Sunday was simply put AWESOME! Tons of DSMs poured the field of Norwalk Raceway Park. After much abuse about competing in the B1 class I entered the Eliminator. The day started out good when I made my first shakedown pass of 11.6@120 then followed it up with an 11.6@123.35 setting a new personal best MPH. The bad news is that in the first round I had no idea we were running a pro tree and had a terrible reaction time of 1.185 and missing third. I ended up losing by .050 and running 11.9@117. I wasn't completely disappointed cause I was then able to watch some insane cars run in the quick 16. By far one of the best races was Al and the AMS Evo.

Overall I had a killer time and recommend for those who couldn't make this event to check it out next year. Mad props the the staff and crew at Victor Research for lugging me out there and back as well as Buschur for holding the event and letting us get on his dyno. See you all next year!
